Making DePaul a little less confusing

About

Starting at DePaul can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming when you’re still figuring out how everything works. As a first-generation college student myself, I started my journey at DePaul without knowing much about the school or what to expect. There were so many things I had to figure out along the way, from finding places to study to learning about campus life and getting involved.

I created DePaul Unpacked to make that process a little easier for other students, especially incoming first-year students, transfer students, and first-generation students who may be navigating college for the first time. Whether you’re trying to find your next favorite study spot, explore student organizations, learn more about the Loop or Lincoln Park campus, or figure out commuting, this guide is here to help you feel more at home at DePaul.

College is about more than just classes. It’s also about finding your people, discovering new opportunities, and making the most of your experience. My hope is that DePaul Unpacked helps you spend less time wondering where to start and more time enjoying everything DePaul has to offer.

Welcome to DePaul. Let’s unpack it together!

IT 320 Fall Student

A DePaul University minoring in Information Technology

Hi! I’m a DePaul University student studying business and technology. I created DePaul Unpacked as a project for one of my IT classes, but I also wanted to make something that could be useful to other students.

When you’re in college, there’s a lot to figure out, from finding places to study to learning about campus resources. I wanted this website to be a place where students can find helpful information, tips, and guides all in one spot. Thanks for visiting!
